My short 3 days in Bintan.
Pretty pretty pretty!

[I shall give myself leeway to be an airhead.
After all, no intellect is needed in a laidback resort.
Just relax, drink, and sleep in spas.]

Yes, it is the same spot.
Just different angles.

As sunny as it looks, it was frightfully drafty.
I was too busy holding my shawl together
to go around snapping pictures.

So much for sunny days and ice cold beer...

The very neat looking 'suite'.

This is way better than the rustic stilted house
I stayed in in Batam last year.
I mean, that was an experience -
but this is really comfortable.

A king sized bed,
raised platform to laze on / for extra bed,
plasma tv, balcony and nice showers.
I just needed a clawfoot bathtub,
the kind in old Victorian homes.

I love those!

Of course, Mommy couldn't resist a shot next to the flowerpiece.

The minibar!
Which is really really mini.
2 mouthfuls of red label, black label, jim beam etc.

I will spare you pictures of the coffee, tea and buffets.
Which is really really pricey, and really pretty good!

Pricey like, soba was being sold for 14 bucks.

Then, the spa!
Going there anyway.
I can't take any pictures once there.

Momma.
I look sooooo dark.
Yes, the sun is behind me.

Pasar Oleh Oleh.
The hub of the place.

Very very tourist-y.
I wondered if people used to live there.
Then I wondered if they chased them out for make it toursit-y.

Then I decided not to think at all.

Be a fluff, be a fluff!

The staff.

And that's it!

Not a fantastic load of pictures I know,
but really. It is a) too drafty,
and b) too weird to be camwhoring myself all day.

Mommy and I decided to
a) bring everyone and book a bungalow
b) go to ClubMed.

But I am all for ClubMed.
Free booze! And free food!
Free horseriding!
And lots of spas!

Besides, I am sure the ClubMed staff won't go around taking pictures of you secretly.
They do here! On the last day, the staff passed me a paper that says
"I'm watching you."

Well, more of, "We took pictures, and we are selling them to you."
But anyway.
CLUBMED!
