Monday, June 15

I swear I live for chocolates.

My head has throbbed all weekend - save for the times I was busy stuffing myself with food – and my nose has added to my worries by deciding to leak all Monday morning; and both had declined to stop bullying me even when I cajoled and threaten in turns. But still, I craved chocolates chocolates CHOCOLATES.

It doesn’t help that I was the one cutting the chocolate birthday cake yesterday for Granny. Amidst requests for thin and thick slices of cakes, all cut up hazardously by little old me, I was left with a huge slice – twice of the thick slices requested – on top of the one I already have [thick slick of course!]. Everyone accused me of evil motives and scheming plots. C’mon, do I look so desperate for sweets?

Anyway, yours truly is too distraught to speak. I need my chocolates! Here are some pictures of my lovely weekend to share:

FRIDAY.
I completely forgotten to take pictures of our feast-athon on Friday evening, for which Michael complete blames me for. Between these two pigs, we had 2 meesua, 1 hokkien mee, 8 chicken wings [which is pretty finger-licking-good!] and oh-so-sadly, 1 single beer. [:

SATURDAY
But never mind, Michael-the-beer-guzzler [who also always swears he will never drink beer ever again, and is generally disbelieved] got 4 beers at Next Door Café, which is a pretty quaint place, with awesome-ass-kicking pizza. Go try. Say I told you to go. They’ll love me more next time.

Eeeeeehern was entertained – not! – by Michael and I, because we insisted on going to Next Door Café which was honestly a little distance off, and then ruining his evening by playing Monopoly in which he and I kept getting stuck in jail. The night rounded up with a terrible Apple Crumble at the same place – don’t ever try! If you must, go to Coffee Bean. And no, I’m not being biased. – and the walk back.

Of course, I forgot about pictures again.

Earlier that morning…

FLEA MARKET at Sculpture Square!
Michael and I went early – by what, 15 minutes? – before Yanny to help set up the stall. The poor girl had to work in the morning! As it turns out, the tables and all are already there waiting for us! And we don’t have clothes racks…proper markers and everything.

Well, we are super gung-ho! [: We displayed all our pre-loved – Michael insisted on that lovely word. I bet he stole it from my first failed blogshop I set up myself! – items and lay long to everyone who walked past, willing them to look our way. Yanz and Michael were even wondering if they should betray themselves and give free hugs / kisses / xxx!

Anyway, sales were quite… okay. And we had fun browsing and being our ‘own bosses’.

No pictures again.

SUNDAY
I took pictures!

Michael and I decided to go back to the flea on Sunday morning to try our luck. We brought so many things; it looked like we were moving! There were 40 clothing items between us, and accessories and bags. Mr. Innovation also brought hangers! Now we look like a real stall.

End of day – I ‘made’ $32. I used ‘made’ because any one shirt that I sold for under $2 had cost at least $20 - $50. It was more like getting rid of stuff I don’t want for petty cash than anything else. But poor Michael! *hugs* I won’t say. [:

That night, we went to Granny for her birthday party! – where the chocolate-y accusation affair all began. I stuffed myself and Michael with prawns, vinegar pork and all things meaty! Then some more pictures. By now, Michael’s accusing me of not including him in any pictures at all. Haha.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANNY!

And, HAPPY BIRTHDAY AHYI!
Though you stole Gran's cake...haha.

Gahh, I’m beginning to miss buffets.

Guys, I hear Shokudo’s having a singles-only buffet at Heeren! Let’s go? (:

I made Mommy come along too, ‘cause the nice filial daughter that I am don’t want her alone at home.

Last Wednesday
Serenity with Aileen and others long-lost friends.

I met a couple of strangers for dinner at Sushi Tei and free-flow drinks at Serenity. [: Okay, so I remember them somewhat… But I really haven’t seen them in ages. So I had good company and good dinner and free-flow drinks!

It was cheap slosh, but well. It came in abundance.

I’m just going to post nice pictures of everyone… that, and funny ones. If you think any is weird-looking, or so very unglam, well, let me see you high! >:O
