Wow.
My days were seriously..
it's all jumbled into a single huge mess.

Lemme try.

7Oct.
I actually baked!
Woots. (:

See, the previous day, I woke up feeling homey.
And unfortunately for my room,
homey never equates spring cleaning;
it meant baking. :D
Or god forbid, cooking. (:

So, I baked.
Brownies,
which I dropped on the floor,
shattering the glass baking bowl
into a million little shards all over the kitchen.
Not very smart. O.o
P.S. Mom still hasnt realized her missing prized bowl. *shudders*

I also made oatmeal cookies
[double choco was sold out!]
which I didnt drop. (:
But it kind of turned out... overbaked. ):

All thanks to a lethal combination of Michael's logic
"Cookies hardened in ovens right? It's still soft!"
and my stupidity: for listening to him
and Scrabble. (:

Yes, we're in love with Scrabble!
It's a great game. (:
If you dont think so,
then you have obviously lost many times,
or *gasps* have never even figured out the game!

Well, we were very much in love with it anyway.
It kind of wears off whenever the score is out - 5 : 1.
Duh, it's Joey : Michael. :D

We went cycling. (:
Simply because we wanted to feel less guilty about all the food and drinks.
Or at least, I wanted to.
Except, we had Pizza Hut for lunch,
and we ate at the Lagoon.
And went to one of the beach bars.. yeah. ):

Plus, we only cycled for 1 1/2 hours.
Most of which was spent staring at clouds on the cliffs!
Break-waters, whatever they're called.

In retrospect,
I think Operation Cycling failed miserably.
Fine, I know it failed. ):
Ptffs.

At the rate we're visiting pubs and bars,
and dining fine,
we're both going to end up round and empty.
Round bods (think Wall.E) and empty wallets. O.o

10Oct.
WeiMing and Jeslin's birthday!
We remembered. (:

I went to Tiong Bahru - not thiong bahru, sc! -
with the guys to get their interviews.
Which I have already gone for.
What can I say, I'm nice. (:

Then we went for Sakae at Marina Square,
where they have this really nice stick-your-legs in the floor sitting.

Lianghao's probably thinking about his immense weight. ((:
Or, ours. ):

Coindentally,
Michael and ~~Emerick~~ ~~Emeric~~ gay partner
were having the same buffet at another outlet. O.o

Finally, we went to Minds Cafe;
where I trashed them at Scrabble.
But I got no kick out of it,
'cause they were all 'drunk on sushi'. -_-

So, we played mindless noisy games like Jenga:

Lianghao's question: Perfect date? Dinner movie sex. O.o
Joey's question: Ever been in love? No. [cue guys' laughter]

Then.
The. Big. Day.
We're off to Batam! (:

Mommy and I went - me without sleep.
Supergirl! ((:
Okay, silly.

The resort - KTM Resort - was pretty cool, if a tad isolated.

Yes, our room has a balcony.
And it only cost $200plus,
inclusive of spa treatments, a city tour and meals.

Speaking of meals,
the seafood lunch was awesome.
6 different seafood dishes for 3 persons.
And 'cause my mom's vegetarian that day,
they rustle up 4 extra dishes for her - no extra cost. O.o

Correction,
very isolated.

And the lifestyle's decidedly different.

Wooden furniture,
behind wooden doors,
in a wooden room,
built on wooden stilts. (:

Cobwebs on door hinges,
and dust on .. wall-boards?

And halved tree trunks serving as bridges over ponds;
right to your door step! O.o

And this stairs lead to the family bungalows.

The water runs straight to the sea
Very very gross.

I also witness the spa treatment ladies
throwing my foot bath water into the sea,
as if it was perfectly alright.
O.o

Dont think about the seafood,
dont think about the seafood!

But isnt the view simply awesome?

The spa villa, right smack in the sea,

bungalows on a hill / cliff, and

house on stilts.
I'm seriously hooked to the idea of rural living! (:

We did all our spa treatments there,
as the sun sets.
Very gorgeous! (:
Especially since the spa rooms doesnt have walls,
so we get to see the sea and sky turn salmon pink.
How's that for innovation?

Too bad I dont have pictures.
For obvious reasons.

But I do have other pictures which I really like.

The fountain ball actually moves along with the water jets! O.o

I didnt take much pictures the next day during the Citytour,
since it was only shopping:
Ralph Lauren polos,
buying local food,
eating food veryveryverycheap!,
and ordering cakes. O.o
It's nothing short of a mircale that I didnt put on weight. :D

The only lament I have is:
I cant buy duty-free alcohol!
Apparently,
I have to stay at Batam for at least 3 days to purchase drinks.
What kind of rule is this?!
*pouts*

Honestly,
this is the first I actually browse through the alcoholics at duty-free;
I'm seriously shocked.

Bailey's just 36,
while a single pathetic shot elsewhere is pushing 13!
Johnny Walker's black is 30odd,
and Aboslute is more than half the price at the cheapest supermart.

I feel really conned!
Ptfs.
BOOOOS.

Holidays are now ending anyway,
something I'm really sad about.
I want my hols back!

I feel like I havent done anything at all. ):
Blah.
