FOM tutorial again.
Blah.
This. Is. Boring.
Yays, I'm blogging yet again!
See, I told y'all I'd blog regularly once my blog is up! (:
~
I just heard some loveydovey songs and... well.
As someone who have not gotten attached for the longest time - longest being years, not months... or, God forbid, weeks and days as some of you wackos might think! -, I get darn cynical.
Are these love songs a reflection of the songwriters' feelings, or are they written to appeal to teenage-angst-filled and I-just-broke-up-with-my girlfriend/boyfriend delete where appropriate of-3-days categories of people? Or all they all playing on what they think music listeners wants to hear - sad emoish music that seems to reflect the listeners' mood?
If that is so, I have a tip for all composers. Use very very very vague words. You'll probably be in Top 40 hits for ages.
As I hear stories about people falling in love, falling out of love and going through the whole bittersweet experience again and again, I wonder if they really love their partner and exchange Iloveyous within days, or if they simply love being in love.
Like the lovesick Duke Orsino. Twelfth Night, Shakespeare? Right.
There are some acquaintances that I know who want to get together with people they barely know know. They have absolutely no clue on the background, favourites, quirks...whatever of that person they supposedly like!
Should that make sense?
Or should it be 'love at first sight', - all romantice and fluttery?
Maybe I'm sufferng from a serious case of sour grapes (actually, I doubt that. Just look at the average teenage couple on the streets!), but even you, my lovesick / loveaddicted again, delete where appropriate friend, has got to agree.
Being in a relationship is OVERRATED.
I know.
Sometimes, when I look at my blissful friends, I do get envious. And pissed. They stole my friends! Hmpfs. ):
But at the end of the day, while I'm happy for them the real relationships anyway!, I'm happy because I didn't give a hoot about society. Or the average teenage narrow perception that being in a relationship is all-important.
Worse, the annoying older generation who always ask 'When are you getting attached?' Read: Daddy dearest. -_- Hms. Whatever happened to protective fathers who glare at every guy with 10 metres of their daughters?
I'm happy because I didn't get together with someone who only knows my first name. Oh, my girlfriend is Joey. She likes.... hm, red? Maybe pink. Yeah. She really loves chocolates... wait, candy? Whatever. The most important thing is, I love her.
Right. Blah.
I have got higher expectations than that!
Except, like I'm forever reminded, they are just too darn high. Joey is gonna be an old spinster! ): Well, in defense, Aileen said: Singaporean guys are.... blah. HAHA. :DD I think they are not that bad. Thankfully.
To conclude this silly rambling post and general distaste in these people while laughing a whole lot at myself I shall quote. After all, isn't a quote the most memorable? But not Shakespeare though, or some great classic. It's a good line from Mary-Anne. Sorry, but I really love this line!
"No one is completely unlovable."
Byes! (:
