Sunday, July 27

I feel so... empty,
for lack of a better word.

It's hard to describe.
I mean, it's not like I have zero friends, zero deadlines, zero life.
Don't say anything if it's not nice.
I do have all these.
But I just feel empty anyway.
Hms.

I asked Mel about it.
And when I explained,
she understood perfectly!
Like, wow.
I didn't expect anyone to get what I thought was retarded. ((:

Plus, she could totally read off my mind.
FREAKY, or what!
Are besties supposed to read each other's mind?
Hms. Oh no!
I better pretend I can read her mind next time.

HAHA.
I'm joking.
Hugs*
Love ya babe! :D

~

Friday..
I got to work barely on time.
Luckily, Chanthy asked me to get Salsa sauce;
so I kind of got a reason to be slightly late.
Phew. (:

Strangely,
I found out that Chanthy was giving out free tortilla chips and Salsa -
which is weird...
since our bosses have been complaining that our overheads are high.
I know they are only for regular customers but still.
Every bit counts right?
Hms.

Oh, and we still have 2 new chefs to replace Ken.
Food for thought huh.

Anyway, we managed to hit our target as usual on Friday! :D
Despite the fact that Joe, Janie and I were huddling around talking about 'age' - as in years in the company.
See, we can multi-task! :D
But Chanthy didn't like that,
especially since Mr 126Rochester-manager-with-120drinks was sitting there observing Jazz with his uber black face. -_-

Terrible, I know.

Plus, these weeks, we still have to do cleaning
before we can go for our super-uber fattening supper!
BOO.
Jasmine, come back!
HA.

I miss her. HAHA.

Because Michael
inadvertently falls asleep everysingletime we get on the cab,
I always end up talking to Joe.
Or Andrew, if he's there.

This Friday,
it definitely felt weird.
Distinctively weird.

But, never mind.
You gotta grow up.
It's retarded to do that!

So. I ended up knowing lots about Joe.
And I got to say,
I really admire him.

I mean, he's practically a true blue Singaporean now.
But, every fortnight,
he travels like 6 hours back to Malaysia to visit his girlfriend.
Then he travels all the way back, in time for school.
For more than a year, and counting! O.o
Plus, he holds 2 jobs to support himself and pay for all that travelling.
And his GPA is a near perfect 3.98 or something.

Hateful people.
BOO!
Too bad he's a colleague,
I have to be nice.
(:

Ooh, talking about hateful colleagues.
Michael. You never bring me my book! ):
Please do!
HAHA.
Until then, I'm reading The Glass Castle.
It'll probably worry Mel to know that...
that is a sad sad book.
And I've been reading rather sad morbid stuff.
:D

And, Kaka!
Why you never tag!
I know you're reading! (:
Do add me on MSN, okay?
Even Min doesn't have your mail.
Looking forward to chalet!! :DD

Then, Saturday.
I'm obviously just rambling and typing stuff off the top of my head, aren't I?
All of us had to report to work an hour early for a meeting.

Over which Mommy became unhappy.
She thinks my pay is not worth the hours.
Which is, probably true.
But like Irene says,
I'm not likely to quit.
I mean, it's an experience for me!
Plus, the peeps are nice too!

Nevertheless,
she wants me to quit by the end of this year.
As in, school year.

I'm unhappy about that!
Even though the logical me knows I'll probably quit then.
I'll be starting my internship then.
If I work at Jazz, I'd have no life at all.

But I'd like to leave my options open you know.
BOO.

A n y w a y .
The meeting was sama-sama.
Push more drinks, better service, improvements and staff as a family.
Chanthy is right about herself - she is getting naggy. (:
Honestly, the only new thing I heard was about her treating us staff like family.
Which is cool. :DD
But the part about me being the bottom-of-the-rung staff,
OUCH.

Hms.
Am I that bad a staff?
I thought I was okay at handling customers.
I even got tips from generous customers!
Okay, that one customer but still.
It was $18. :DD
Whatever.

The main point was,
we had fun after work!
We had sweet green curry for supper. O.o
Then, we played drinking games! :D
After red wine, white wine, Heneiken, volka, liquer and goodness-know-what was in that 'punishment glass', I got a little high.
I mean, I could still walk straight,
but I start doing stupid stuff.
When we finally go home hours after closing,
I slumped into the back of the cab like some unglam person -
which I probably was.

Jeez.
I seriously haven't drank for a long time.

Which reminds me.
Mel is afraid I would turn emo,
Right... Joey is never emo. :DD
like SC and Lianghao.
SO.
We have 3 dates coming up.
ONE. Drinking.
TWO. Shopping.
THREE. Singing! ((:

YAYS!
Muacks!*
Phew, darn long post.

~
If you think you did the right thing, then smile.
Because there's nothing good in pretending.
In this case anyway.
