Blogskin by Yanny :)
Saturday, October 6
i have two things to do today.
but first let me rave..
fingerprint sensor is so cool!
i just swipe my pretty little finger,
and presto!
im in my account.
(:
i used to hate the idea of fingerprint sensors as locks
because evil -not to mention sick- minds would cut off your finger to unlock your stuff.
horrors!
well, that is, if you own valuble enough stuff.
which i dont.
im still trying to decide if that's good or bad.
anyway, back to the topic.
the first thing i want to do is complain.
who is that ass who pretend to be me on my tagboard?
uh?
and that genius had to type 'tag' using my name,
like for, oh, a hundred or so times?
if i ever find out who you are...
i'll burn your ass!
hmpf.
but then,
it'll probably stinks.
to the fake 'jo'.
hey, if you're so bored that you can think of nothing more 'fun' than to crack sillier-than-ass jokes,
i pity you.
but not enough to let you use my tagboard.
get your own.
and while you're at that,
get a life too.
thankme.
moron.
taskNO2.
rant about MW cbtl.
customers first.
like, hello?
it wouldnt kill to wait for your orders.
it's not like we pre-prepared all your orders;
it's being done fresh on the spot.
and in case you still havent grasp the idea,
cbtl, especially mw -to my knowledge- is dedicated to serving quality products.
which also means,
it's worth the wait for the staff to brew you a new pot of coffee or steam some fresh milk.
and if the new staff do get your orders wrong,
you dont have to throw a fit.
i mean, sure, you're entitled -i guess..-
but for what?
it's just a drink.
we will be more than happy to get you a new cup.
FOC.
besides, if you're in a rush, go to to a fast food restaurant. mcdonalds can serve you your caffeine fix.
cbtl is a cafe. which is personalized good service.
not quick-get-the-drink-in-your-face-'thankyougoodbye'-'hi,nextorderplease!' kinda service.
then, some staff.
even though we're a cafe and not a fast-foodie, we cannot let our customers wait overly long.
that's a clear sign that the order was forgotten.
tsk.
worse,
have you seen staff that are so idle you feel like whacking them in the ass?
say, there's a pasta order.
they take out the pasta, heat up. waits.
when it's done, then do they start taking out the makings of the sauce to cook.
during the cooking of the sauce, they just stare blankly at the wall til that's done.
arrange. garnish.
then leave the plate to cool while they toast the breadstick.
at the end of the day, the pasta they serve is starting to turn soggy
and it's already lukewarm.
some geniuses.
when's all good and ready,
then they start the next order.
i tell you, it's enough to make you cringe.
and while at it, they make a mess of the kitchen too.
and just stare at the manager disinterestedly when they're reminded to clean up.
double ugh.
no wonder managers are paid so much;
to endure this!
no offense, but the 'they' there are our new china staff.
still, not all of them are so.. um, idle.
i like them back at csq.
leon, jennifer and candy.
yes, candy.
they are much much better.
(:
i miss csq already!
hmpf.
at this rate, i'll never quit coffeebean!
and i shouldnt too.
i self-acclaim to be best at steaming skim milk!
did that sound weird?
i was told that the froth of the skim milk always turns out somewhat bubbly.
but.
my skim milk's froth is perfect..just like whipped cream - no air bubbles.
just like my fresh milk's.
(:
give me a payraise man!
but then again,
i darent compete with pamela's.
anyway.
to update.
i was working the last two days..
at the mw's branch.
and i found a shorter route to the suntec's branch,
such that i dont have to walk past all the malls and shops.
which is freaking far.
yipee!
ha.oh please.
but to go to work, i really have to walk veryveryvery far.
17mins.
so silly me turned into a smart aleck and took bus7.
remembering vaguely that a bus from bedok goes there.
and guess what?
i was wrong.
it didnt go anywhere near mw or suntec.
the bus that does go there is actually 196.
so i had to walk,
same; from the cityhall station to mw.
i was late.
like duhh.
but i walked really quickly, in 10minutes flat.
so now my feet hurt.
and i way too full,
cause i eat more than enough to make up for the calories i probably burn while power-walking.
and!
i spent more than i should on food.
moral of the story: take the frigging train.
but i still took a bus home.
14 to katong,
then 32 home.
which means i get to buy katong goodies.
which are like, my favourite now.
(:
and i feel tempted to take the bus.
to work.
im working a lot of days next week.
partly cause i want to make more money
as little as it is
so i wont have to pinch every penny next month;
and also cause next week's hari raya!
i rarely feel so happy about public holidays.
except that i dont go to school.
but big deal, as i cant go out in the past. then when i can, huijing cant;
PHs are her family days.
but anyway.
im happy because im getting double pay!(:
which is really worth the work because that's the period when the stores get a steady trickle of customers,
not empty stores or my-cash-register-just-wont-stop ringing scenarios.
in other words,
for my lucky pampered reader-brats who do not understand,
there's enough customers to keep you occupied but not overwhelmed.
yeah.
and then maybe, i'll really quit.
since i dont foresee any pay increments.
i'll still drop by often though!
if not for seeing them, then for the discounts.
ha!
oh right.
one last job offer.
receptionist at a massage parlour.
my cousin's cousin's business.
totally legal and sweaky clean, please.
5perhour.
at chinatown.
to work or not to work?
